MFIT /START

          [SIC\]MFIT Y=f(X,&a,...) /START A1 B1 ...

    A1  B1  ...  are  used to pass starting guesses for the parameters &A &B
    (defaulted to 1.0). The starting values should not be too far from a po-
    tential solution, otherwise the convergence may not be possible.
