Description:
    This catalogue, published in 1955, provides data about stars
    known to have proper motions exceeding 0.5" annually.

Note (1): The designation is:
  * the Bayer letters for the few very bright stars
  * BD numbers north of -23deg, CD numbers south of that limit
  * Wolf, Ross and Luyten numbers for fainter stars
  * for some other stars, Greenwich Astrographic Catalogue or
    Selected Area numbers
Note (2): A few references are given in full; the following
  abbreviations have been used:
  C = Cape           H = Hertzsprung      R = Ross
  F = Furuhjelm      I = Innes           VM = van Maanen
  G = Greenwich      L = Luyten           W = Wolf

    was removed.
