We propose to follow up our observations of classical novae in the first round of ISO observations by (i) following the evolution of the recent novae V705 Cas and V1974 Cyg, (ii) observing the shell of the old nova DQ Her, (iii) obtaining more detailed observations of the old (1967) nova HR Del and (iv) investigating the environment of the GK Per-like nova V732 Sgr. As a result we will learn for the first time about the evolution of the fine structure line spectrum of novae, and about the pre-nova evolution of nova binary systems.
