NGC5252 is one of the most spectacular examples for the anisotropy of the radiation in Seyfert galaxies. Unambiguous evidence for that has been provided from the 21cm observations by Prieto & Freudling,93 ApJ418,668. The key issue on whether the observed anisotropy is intrinsic to the source or due to obscuration is currently being addressed through a multi-wavelength study of its nuclear region. This proposal address the study of N5252 in the middle_IR and proposes imaging of its nuclear region with CAM. Three goals are pursued: 1rst, to determine the shape of the truly IR nuclear continuum emission; 2nd, to map the 10 arcsec circumnuclear structure seen in Near-IR/optical ratio images 3rth, to check for the presence of dust/molecular material features,these being crucial discriminants for modeling of the nuclear source. ISOCAM data will be complemented with long wavelength imaging that will be collected with PHOT as a part of the Garanteed ISO time programmes, and where N5252 has set with priority 1.
