BD This catalog contains the results of differential astrometric observations
BD made with the Repsold Meridian Circle at the Cerro Calan National
BD Observatory in Chile. The program stars were selected from the Southern
BD Reference Stars (SRS) and the Bright Stars (BS) International Programs in
BD the declination zone -25 to -47 degrees. Positional and other data are
BD provided for 2756 SRS, 336 BS, and 216 FK4 stars observed from March 1963
BD to October 1970 in the zone -25 to -35. In the same series 216 FK4 stars
BD were observed in the zone -20 to -40, and 312 in the zone +40 to +10 (right
BD ascension only). A second zone (-35 to -47), which was observed from March
BD 1963 to May 1972, includes 3236 SRS and 467 BS stars, plus 354 FK4 stars in
BD the zone +40 to +10 (right ascension only) and 236 in the zone -30 to -52.
BD The data include program number, DM designation, magnitude, spectral type,
BD equatorial coordinates (B1950.0), errors, epochs of observation, numbers of
BD observations, and proper motions.
